The Great Plains PL5200 is a mounted stack-fold planter that excels in wide-row applications. This 12-row system can accommodate a variety of crops and is available in 914mm, 965mm and 1016mm spacings in single- or twin-row configurations. The exclusive side-shift option allows operators to switch from twin- to single-row in under an hour. To efficiently cover more acres in a day, the PL5200 is available in a 1762 litre bulk-fill hopper or individual row hoppers. Producers can also choose from a traditional 3-section mechanical ground drive, a 3-section variable rate-ready hydraulic drive, or an electric individual row control (IRC) drive. The PL5200 is ISOBUS-compatible and provides producers with simple and practical monitor technology. The PL5200 utilises the 5000 series Air-Pro meter, offering the highest level of singulation on the market. The 5000 Series opener achieves uniform spacing by “dead-dropping” the seed directly into the trench using the Clear Shot seed tube. The 5000 Series row unit offers long-term row unit stability, accurate seed depth, and a variety of press wheel options. With a clean frame design, producers can enjoy high visibility and manoeuvrability in the field and on the road. A shortened 3-point attachment improves tractor leverage, weight balance, and overall centre of gravity. Lift-assist is an option for tractors with a category 3 hitch, though rear lift-assist is not required for tractors with a category 4 hitch. The PL5200 is a highly accurate seeding solution with practical technology, making quick, efficient work of planting for Delta producers.
